Jay founded AmCap in 1979 and is its Founder and Chairman as well as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. AmCap owns and operates necessity retail anchored centers nationwide, with a current portfolio size of over 4.5 million square feet, with approximately $1 billion in total property value. Under his leadership, AmCap is widely regarded as a leader in U.S. necessity retail anchored centers. Jay is actively involved in all day-to-day company operations and is ultimately responsible for the strategic direction of AmCap. He received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Jake joined AmCap in 2005 and heads the company’s day-to-day activities as CEO. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Jake’s tenure in the real estate industry spans nearly two decades, and he has handled more than $2 billion worth of real estate transactions during his career. Prior to AmCap, he worked at Vornado Realty Trust in Acquisitions & Capital Markets, focusing on equity and mezzanine loan real estate investments in retail, office, and hotel. Jake received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Jake is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Jonathan, AmCap’s Chief Financial Officer and Co-Chief Compliance Officer, started his career with the firm in 1996. His responsibilities include overseeing company and investment operations, portfolio-wide external and internal financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and regulatory and internal compliance, among many other areas. During his AmCap tenure, he has contributed to over $2.5B in real estate acquisitions, refinances, and dispositions and has been a hands-on leader in AmCap’s rise as a premier real estate investment firm. He continues to cultivate outstanding relationships with major banks, lenders, and various software and financial service providers, establishing AmCap as a best-in-class firm.

Jonathan earned his Master of Business Administration from the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology at Sacred Heart University and a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. He is an active member of the CFO Leadership Council, IMN, ICSC, and REFA-CT.

Ira joined AmCap in 1998 and as President, oversees all leasing activity for the firm. A member of the firm’s Investment Committee, he has over 35 years of experience in the leasing, brokerage, development, and redevelopment of power, grocery-anchored and neighborhood retail shopping centers in markets throughout the country. Ira is highly regarded in the industry for his ability to improve the capital value of commercial properties and has developed a vast retail client base. Ira attended the University of Colorado and is an active member of ICSC and the Urban Land Institute.

Carl joined AmCap in 2022 as the Chief Information Officer and Co-Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, he guides or oversees all technology-related functions. Carl has extensive Cyber-Security experience, is in charge of the organization's Cyber Security initiatives, and also provides his expertise in the area of compliance. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a background in Engineering and Economics, giving him a unique view of an organization's needs.

Carl has been a leader for over 25 years in the Information Technology field. Previously he worked with hundreds of organizations, including AmCap, as a consultant. He has led teams, projects, or consulted in organizations of all sizes in the public and private sector as well as government, municipal, law enforcement, and healthcare. Besides his extensive job experience, he has passed over 70 industry exams and holds dozens of certifications and clearances.

Carl also has a passion for Real Estate. He has completed multiple residential projects privately and participated in private equity investments in Commercial, Senior Living, Agriculture, and Build-to-Rent communities. Carl's diverse education and training, extensive technical experience, visibility in hundreds of organizations in his career, and real estate knowledge give him a unique ability to assist AmCap in its rapidly growing business and technical, security, and compliance vision.

Ty has worked with Amcap since 2007. He has been in retail leadership roles including investment, development, acquisitions, dispositions, brokerage, capital markets, and management for over 25 years. Ty has lead Atlas Retail Capital and Atlas Interests as CEO and has participated in over $4B of transactions throughout his career. He was formally Senior Vice President and Senior Director of NAI Global and NAI Brannon Goddard in New York and Atlanta where he was a founding member and leader of NAI Global’s Institutional Services Group, “ISG”. He led both private client and institutional retail projects domestically and abroad in China, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Europe, and Malaysia. He was previously Senior Associate of Retail Investment Properties at CBRE. Ty received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business in Gainesville, Florida in 1998. He then received his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from Georgia State University, J. Mack Robinson College of Business in Atlanta, Georgia where he served on the advisory board.

In his role as Managing Director - Property Construction and Operations, Glenn is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property and construction management, including the development and implementation of national programs, standardization of operational policies, procedures, and best practices. He will work closely with AmCap's team of professionals to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

With over 30 years of experience in retail and commercial real estate management, Glenn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. Prior to joining AmCap, Glenn served as Vice President of Construction Management at DLC Management Corp, where he oversaw the construction and renovation of properties across the United States. He also held the positions of Regional Director of Construction & Property Manager at Equity One Inc. and Regional Construction & Property Manager at Kimco Realty Corp.

Jessica joined AmCap in July 2025. As Director – Leasing, she is responsible for all leasing activity for AmCap’s East-Coast and Mid-West portfolio.

Prior to joining AmCap, Jessica was a leasing agent with Regency Centers where she was responsible for seventeen assets consisting of nearly two million square feet of total retail space throughout the Washington, DC metro area. She has nearly 20 years of broad real estate experience in leasing, asset management, property management, lease administration, and legal.

Jessica is an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park.

Carly joined AmCap in July 2017. IN her current role as Managing Director -Leasing, she heads up all leasing activity for AmCap’s Denver portfolio.  Prior to AmCap, Carly worked for DLC Management, where she was responsible for twelve properties across the Northeast and the Midwest, consisting of three million square feet of total retail space.

Carly is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Leeds School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.  She was also a key member of the first place team at the USC Marshall School of Business International Real Estate Case Competition in 2013.  Carly remains actively involved with the University of Colorado: she sits on the Real Estate Center’s Young Alumni Board and Leeds School of Business Gold Board, and is a mentor for the Young Alumni Mentorship Program.

Jack joined AmCap in 2013. As Managing Director - Asset Management, he oversees accounting, property management, construction, and leasing activity across the entire AmCap portfolio. Separately, Jack is responsible for all Asset Management analysis and reporting for the portfolio’s separate investors and lenders alike. 

Jack also serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, and has been  directly involved in over $1.25 billion dollars of acquisition, disposition, and recapitalization transactions throughout his tenure at AmCap.

Jack is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance and is an active member of ICSC.

Hannah Cope joined AmCap in July 2024. As Director - Capital Formation, she leads all fundraising initiatives and oversees investor relations. Prior to joining AmCap, Hannah worked at Good Investment Partners, Berkeley Partners and Prologis, leading investment efforts of $1B+ across a variety of investment vehicles – discretionary funds, single state pension funds, programmatic joint ventures, family office and UHNW. Hannah attend the University of Colorado Boulder.

Mario Christian joined AmCap in September 2021 as Director - Accounting and Financial Reporting. He is responsible for overseeing the technical accounting and internal and external financial reporting for the firm’s properties and investment entities. Mario also manages the Accounting Department infrastructure, providing accounting, finance, tax, and compliance support. He brings two decades of accounting, tax, and consulting experience.

Prior to joining AmCap, Mario was a Manager at Citrin Cooperman in the real estate industry practice group, and managed a portfolio of clients in varying industries including commercial, residential, and developmental entities. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Mario holds a a Master of Science in Taxation from St. John’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY New Paltz. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Vincenzina joined AmCap in April 2019. As Director - Human Resources and Office Management,  she is responsible for planning, developing, and directing our company's HR activities, strategies, and compliance measures. Vincenzina also oversees our general office operations.

Vincenzina received her Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior, Systems and Analytics from NYU, and a Bachelors in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from SUNY New Paltz. Prior to working at AmCap, she supported trade floor functions at a commodities firm, and has previous experience working in the Talent Development and Recruiting industries.

Having joined AmCap in 2025 as Regional Property Manager for our Colorado portfolio, Marion is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property management, including the implementation of property branding programs, and the standardization and streamlining of operational policies, procedures, and best practices. She will work closely with AmCap's team of professionals to ensure that all properties are maintained in a first-class manner, in keeping with AmCap’s goal of a high-performing, strategically managed asset portfolio.

Marion has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of commercial and retail real estate management for high-net-worth families and private investors, and brings her specialized expertise and proven track record to the team. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, and completed her master’s degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.  Marion is a native of the front range area of Colorado and currently resides in the greater Denver metro area; she will be working out of our Denver office.

Kathy joined AmCap in 1987 and is one of our most tenured employees. Her career in the Real Estate industry spans over 30 years, and prior to AmCap, she worked at Mellon Real Estate and in the corporate banking division of U.S. Trust.

In Kathy's previous role as Senior Executive Assistant and Office Manager, she oversaw the daily operations in Stamford's corporate headquarters and supported the office of the CEO. In her current role as Assistant Asset Manager, she has been able to fully capitalize on her strength in project management and solid organizational skills. In this capacity, Kathy's primary responsibilities include managing our company-wide property insurance portfolio and working closely with our Asset and Property Management teams on the day-to-day operations of our shopping centers and tracking critical dates during tenant build-outs. She also provides support to the Acquisitions team in maintaining the acquisitions pipeline and steps in to assist with due diligence on various transactions.

Alyssa joined AmCap in January 2025 as a Leasing Paralegal. In her role, she works closely with the Leasing and Asset Management teams and is responsible for negotiating, drafting, and maintaining all lease documents across our portfolio.

Alyssa has over 18 years of paralegal experience, starting first in corporate law and then transitioning to real estate litigation. Prior to AmCap, she worked at CBRE as a Paralegal/Transaction Specialist, serving as a subject matter expert on commercial real estate transactions across various sectors. Alyssa obtained a Master of Science in Legal Administration of the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Tina joined AmCap in 2001 and is the Property Manager for the AppleTree Business Park, a 425,000 square foot center located in Buffalo, NY. She handles day-to-day operations and all Tenant and Capital Improvements. 

Tina has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Management which she received in March 2018 from Post University and has earned an invitation to the National Society of Leadership Success Group, Sigma Alpha Pi.

She has also earned her RPA through BOMA International. Tina is on the Greater Buffalo BOMA Board of Directors, and is currently on the Education Committee and Nominating Committee.  She has served as President of the local chapter back in 2000. As a member of BOMA has won awards for Member of the Year (2009) and Building of the Year (2003-2004).

Tina also is a member of the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce and has held many positions as a Board of Director.  She is currently an Ambassador for the Chamber.

George Chaparro

George joined AmCap in 1989. As a Senior Property Controller, he is responsible for the accounting, budgeting, and year-end preparations for AmCap’s Denver portfolio. He also serves as the company’s Corporate Controller, Previously, George worked at Citibank in Corporate Accounting and at the Bellet Company in the Accounting Department.

George holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Accounting from Iona College.

Margaret joined AmCap in 1986. As a Senior Property Controller, she is responsible for manages all accounting, budgeting, and year-end financial reporting for  AppleTree Business Park. Margaret was instrumental in on-boarding AmCap’s largest acquisition – eleven King Soopers centers (the ADLP portfolio) – in addition to the coordination of several mortgage refinances. Prior to AmCap, she was an auditor with Ernst & Young.

Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Marymount Manhattan.

Henry joined AmCap in April 2021 and currently serves as a Senior Property Controller. In his role, he oversees financial operations for Copaco Center, Cowesett Corners, Northpoint Center, The Gardens on Havana, and Montgomery Village Plaza. Prior to working at AmCap, Henry worked with DLC Management Corp. as a Senior Property Accountant.

Henry received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in International Management from  Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. 

Originally from Portugal, Henry has always been fascinated by other cultures and customs, and speaks multiple languages including fluent Portuguese and conversational Spanish and French.

Tom joined AmCap in October 2023 as a Property Accountant - GL. He is responsible for handling various accounting and financial reporting processes for multiple properties across our portfolio. This includes monthly and quarterly reporting, journal entries, accrual statements, and CAM/Tax reconciliations. He also assists with the preparation of investor and lender reporting.

Previously, Tom worked at Urstadt Biddle Properties as a  Property Accountant, where he handled monthly reconciliations and supported the quarterly close process for multiple accounts. He also assisted with quarterly and annual SEC filings. Tom holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.

Angela joined AmCap in 2020 as a Property Accountant-A/P and oversees the timely and accurate processing of payables for the firm’s entire real estate portfolio.

She brings over 15 years of accounting experience in the real estate field, having previously been employed at Alma Realty Corp. During her time at Alma, she worked with a portfolio of 200+ commercial and residential properties, as well as handled payroll for over 200 employees.

Angela graduated from Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Investments with a minor in Real Estate. She is also a Certified Avidsuite Program Administrator.

Dan joined AmCap in December 2022 as a Property Accountant - A/R. He is responsible for handling Accounts Receivable processes for multiple properties across our portfolio. This includes the application of cash receipts, reconciling open account balances and collecting on past due accounts. Dan also works closely with our Property Controllers to assist with bank reconciliations and monthly close processes.

Dan grew up in New York and graduated from Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting. Prior to joining AmCap, Dan worked in the business sector of a school district assisting with Accounts Payable and budget planning.

Katie joined AmCap in March 2022. As an Asset Management Associate, she is responsible for constructing and running underwriting models for new acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and refinances. She also assists with the quarterly financial and annual budgeting reports for our existing portfolio investments. 

Katie holds a M.S. in Real Estate and the Built Environment and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Denver. During her time at the University of Denver, she was a member of their Division I volleyball program.

Patricia Vigliotti joined AmCap in May 2025. In her role as Property Construction and Operations Administrator, she works alongside our Property Managers to address maintenance issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational efficiency across the company’s portfolio.

Patricia holds a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business from the University of Rhode Island’s Harrington School of Communication and Media. Prior to joining AmCap, Patricia built a strong foundation in the Natural Gas industry, where she managed daily operations and provided essential support to field crews.

Sandy joined AmCap in July 2023 as an Associate - Tenant Relations for the AppleTree Business Park, a 425,000 square foot center located in Buffalo, NY. She serves as the first point of contact for tenants, handles the Accounts Receivable process, and assists the Property Manager with day-to-day operations at the center.

Sandy has over 15 years of accounting experience in diverse business sectors, such as Advertising, Insurance, and Real Estate & Industrial Management. Prior to joining AmCap, she was the Assistant to the Controller at TransUnion Settlement Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of Trans Union specializing in Real Estate Appraisals. In her role, she was responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, benefits administration, and all other supportive functions of accounting, including special projects and contract negotiations.

Sandy holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Buffalo State College.  In her free time she enjoys playing Tennis, trail hiking & jogging, horseback riding & doing portrait art.

Sue joined AmCap in August 2022 as an Administrative Assistant in our Stamford office. In addition to her core administrative duties, she also provides A/P support to our Corporate Controller and assists our Legal Administrator with the preparation of outgoing tenant notices. 

Prior to joining AmCap, Sue was a Pool Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for Heidmar Inc., a global oceanic freight transportation company in Norwalk, CT. During her 15 years with Heidmar, she worked closely with four Managing Directors and coordinated all aspects of owner entry. Sue was responsible for compiling legal documentation, analytical data, and organizing international Executive meetings, in addition to providing daily support to her department. Previously, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Operations and Chartering Departments at Stolt-Nielsen Inc., a global liquid fuel logistics company.

Celina joined the AmCap team at the Denver office in July of 2022 as an Administrative Assistant. In addition to various administrative roles, Celina manages marketing for the AmCap portfolio and handles lease administration for the ADLP portfolio.

Before joining AmCap, Celina worked as an English teacher in secondary schools as well as an administrative assistant to a financial planner. Celina received a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Colorado State University.
