Matt joined AmCap in 2011 and, with over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, leads asset management for all new acquisitions and serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to AmCap, Matt began his professional career with Genentech before holding progressively responsible positions in acquisitions and asset management with the Ashforth Company, Antares Real Estate Partners, Commonfund Realty, and The Davis Companies. Matt received his Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth, a Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Zoe joined the AmCap team in October of 2019 as an Administrative Assistant in the Denver office. In addition to various administrative roles, Zoe manages marketing for the AmCap portfolio and handles lease administration for the ADLP portfolio.

 

Prior to joining AmCap, Zoe worked as a Research Associate in the department of Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University and as a professional musician. Zoe received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Skidmore College.

Jake joined AmCap in 2005 and heads the company’s day-to-day activities as President and Chief Investment Officer. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Jake’s tenure in the real estate industry spans nearly two decades, and he has handled more than $2 billion worth of real estate transactions during his career. Prior to AmCap, he worked at Vornado Realty Trust in Acquisitions & Capital Markets, focusing on equity and mezzanine loan real estate investments in retail, office, and hotel. Jake received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Jake is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Jodi joined AmCap in April 2018 as a Property Manager, assisting with all Denver properties in AmCap’s portfolio.

In November 2020, Jodi took over as Director of Property Management, and currently manages over two million square feet in Colorado.  She is a current member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and working on obtaining her CPM accreditation.

Prior to AmCap, Jodi spent 12 years at Dana Investment Corporation, where she was the Director of Operations, an Associate Broker, Property Manager and Construction Manager for a portfolio that included retail and office space.

Jodi is a graduate of Des Moines Area Community College and holds an AA in Business Administration.  She has a Paralegal Certificate and her real estate license.

Alice joined AmCap in March 2021 as Managing Director of Investor Relations. She is responsible for growing relationships with clients and contributing to our overall business development. Alice spent the majority of her career at NGP Energy Capital Management, a pioneer in Energy Private Equity. She was formerly the Managing Director of Capital Raising and New Business Development at Sarona Asset Management, and a Managing Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Prostar Capital. Alice has a B.S. in Finance from Northeastern University.

George Chaparro

George joined AmCap in 1989 and, along with being the company’s Controller, manages accounting, budgeting, and year-end preparations for AmCap’s Denver portfolio. Previously, George worked at Citibank in Corporate Accounting and at the Bellet Company in its accounting department.

George holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Accounting from Iona College.

Tina joined AmCap in 2001 and is the Property Manager for the AppleTree Business Park, a 450,000 square foot center located in Buffalo, NY. She handles day-to-day operations and all tenant and capital improvements. 

Tina has a Bachelor of Bus Administration with a Major in Management which she received in March 2018 from Post University and has earned her RPA through BOMA International, where she has served as a past President. Tina is on the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is the Committee Chair for the Business and Government Committee and has earned an invitation to the National Society of Leadership Success Group, Sigma Alpha Pi.

Barbara joined AmCap in 2005 and is the on-site property manager at Copaco Center, located in the greater Hartford, CT area. She has actively managed the center since 1994 prior to its acquisition by AmCap, actively overseeing the day-to-day activities at the center. Barbara has additional responsibilities in accounting as a member of the corporate Accounting team.

Vincenzina joined AmCap in April 2019 to provide support to the Stamford office. She is currently our Director of Human Resources and Office Management and is responsible for planning, developing, and directing our company's HR activities, strategies, and compliance measures. Vincenzina also oversees our general office operations and serves as one of our in-house Notaries Public. 

Vincenzina received her Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior, Systems and Analytics from NYU, and a Bachelors in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from SUNY New Paltz. Prior to working at AmCap, she supported trade floor functions at a commodities firm, and has previous experience working in the Talent Development and Recruiting industries.

Margaret joined AmCap in 1986 and currently manages all accounting, budgeting, and year-end financial reporting for three properties - AppleTree, Arbutus, and Short Pump Station. Margaret was instrumental in on-boarding AmCap’s largest acquisition – eleven King Soopers centers (the ADLP portfolio) – in addition to the coordination of several mortgage refinancings. Prior to AmCap, she was an auditor with Ernst & Young.

Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Marymount Manhattan.

Henry joined AmCap in April 2021 to serve as a Property Controller for Copaco Center, Cowesett Corners, Northpoint Center, The Gardens on Havana, Montgomery Village Plaza & the Center of Bonita Springs.

For the past 4 ½ years, he worked with DLC Management Corp. as a Senior Property Accountant, working directly with locally owned assets.

Henry received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in International Management from  Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. 

Originally from Portugal, he has always been fascinated by other cultures and customs, and speaks multiple languages including fluent Portuguese and conversational Spanish and French.

Lindsay joined AmCap in May 2014 as administrative assistant for the Accounting and Asset Management team at our Stamford office. She is currently our Lease Administrator; in this capacity, Lindsay is responsible for lease administration matters for nine properties and supports the Acquisitions department during due diligence processes with lease review. In addition, Lindsay serves as a point of contact for our investors, assists our asset managers with the handling of legal cases, and completes ad hoc projects and tasks.

Lindsay obtained her Juris Doctor from Western New England University and is licensed to practice law in Connecticut and New York. She graduated summa cum laude from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and dual minors in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Jonathan joined AmCap in 1996 and is the Chief Financial Officer for all AmCap holdings as well as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Jonathan oversees portfolio-wide internal and external financial reporting, year-end audits, property closings, and manages acquisitions and dispositions, due diligence, corporate financing, banking relationships, and the firm’s information technology. In his current role, Jonathan will play an integral part in the continued growth and direction of the firm and its personnel. Jonathan earned his Master of Business Administration from Sacred Heart University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pace University. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, ICSC, and REFA-CT, and has served on the Board of Trustees at Wooster School.

Greg joined AmCap in July 2016 as a Property Accountant and in this capacity, he handles accounting processes for twelve commercial properties nationwide. He began his career in residential real estate at Laramar Group Inc., where his duties included full cycle accounting and cash management. He later worked in commercial real estate at Matrix Group Inc. with a 22 property portfolio.

Greg graduated from the University of South Dakota and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

Michael joined AmCap in 1996 and implements asset strategies, oversees budget preparation, supervises property management services and construction projects, and aids in the due diligence process for new acquisitions. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and manages AmCap’s pending legal matters, including drafting contracts and other legal documents. Prior to AmCap, Michael worked as an attorney and has over 20 years of litigation experience in both the public and private sectors. Michael received his Juris Doctor from Potomac School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Jay founded AmCap in 1979 and is its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer as well as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. AmCap owns and operates necessity retail anchored centers nationwide, with a current portfolio size of over 4.5 million square feet, with approximately $1 billion in total property value. Under his leadership, AmCap is widely regarded as a leader in U.S. necessity retail anchored centers. Jay is actively involved in all day-to-day company operations and is ultimately responsible for the strategic direction of AmCap. He received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Jack joined AmCap in June 2014 as an analyst in the Acquisitions department. During undergraduate school, he worked at Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF) in Denver with the Investment Sales team and interned at AmCap for a year. He was a key member of the first- and second-place teams at the USC Marshall International Real Estate Case Competition for 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Jack is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He currently serves as a member of the Connecticut Planning Committee for the ICSC Next Generation Program in addition to being active mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of SW Connecticut.

Carly joined AmCap in July 2017 as a Senior Associate in Leasing, assisting with all leasing activity for AmCap’s portfolio nationwide.  Prior to AmCap, Carly worked for DLC Management, where she was responsible for twelve properties across the Northeast and the Midwest, consisting of three million square feet of total retail space.

Carly is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Leeds School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.  She was also a key member of the first place team at the USC Marshall School of Business International Real Estate Case Competition in 2013.  Carly remains actively involved with the University of Colorado: she sits on the Real Estate Center’s Young Alumni Board and Leeds School of Business Gold Board, and is a mentor for the Young Alumni Mentorship Program.

Kathy joined AmCap in 1987 and oversees the day-to-day operations in the Stamford corporate office. As a member of the Acquisitions department, she is instrumental to the due diligence process both when acquiring new properties and in the refinancing of existing ones. Kathy serves as the executive assistant to the office of the CEO and coordinates the maintenance of the company’s portfolio insurance. She has over 30 years of real estate experience, including prior work at Mellon Real Estate and the corporate banking division of U.S. Trust.

Dawn joined AmCap, Incorporated on March 1, 2019 as a Tenant Relations Associate for AppleTree Business Park. Dawn provided full-time contract assistance to the team from October 2018 until transitioning to a full-time, permanent role in March 2019. Previously, Dawn worked for ADP as a Sales Admin and at M&T Bank as a Financial Analyst.

Dawn has over 20 years of administrative and banking experience and holds certifications in several Microsoft Office programs. Dawn studied online at the University Of Massachusetts-Lowell, where she obtained her certificate in Graphic Design.

She is an active member of the Lancaster-Depew Baseball Board of Directors, where she is the website designer and events coordinator. She is also certified in CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. As a former co-chair of the LEAD committee, Dawn volunteered for the United Way Day of Caring and Kevin Guest House. Dawn also owns a small graphic design company, where she specializes in invitations, brochures and photo albums.

Born and raised in Cheektowaga NY, Dawn resides in Lancaster with her husband and son.

Andrew joined AmCap’s Acquisitions department in 2020 to help source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities.  Prior to AmCap, he was with Waypoint Real Estate Investments and TriBridge, focusing on multifamily and commercial acquisitions and portfolio management.  Prior to this, Andrew was with Gramercy Property Trust’s special situations team, a $1 billion fund formed with TPG Capital to make opportunistic and value-add acquisitions of commercial properties.  Andrew began his career in investment banking with Jefferies’ real estate group, where he helped spearhead the creation of the hotel investment banking business and completed over $7 billion of transactions across various sectors. 

Andrew graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics and also holds Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Investments from Cornell.  He is a Board Member of The Creatives Project and is a Founding Member of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund’s Junior Business Council.

A member of the firm’s Investment Committee, he has over 35 years of experience in the leasing, brokerage, development, and redevelopment of power, grocery-anchored and neighborhood retail shopping centers in markets throughout the country. Ira is highly regarded in the industry for his ability to improve the capital value of commercial properties and has developed a vast retail client base. Ira attended the University of Colorado and is an active member of ICSC and the Urban Land Institute.

She brings over 15 years of accounting experience in the real estate field, having previously been employed at Alma Realty Corp. During her time at Alma, she worked with a portfolio of 200+ commercial and residential properties, as well as handled payroll for over 200 employees.

Angela graduated from Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Investments with a minor in Real Estate.

Aaron joined AmCap’s Acquisitions department in 2013 to help source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to AmCap, Aaron was at JER Partners’ Fund Investment Management Group, focusing on real estate acquisitions and asset management, and C-III Capital Partners' Commercial Mortgage Special Servicing Group. He also worked on merger, acquisition, and financing transactions at J.P. Morgan’s Investment Banking Division, Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Division, and Compass Advisers. Aaron holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University, and a Graduate Certificate in Management from Harvard University. He is an active member of ICSC and PREA as well as a Co-Chair of the Chicago Booth Annual Real Estate Conference Advisory Board.
